1. Agreement to Terms
By creating an account or using Loft, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Loft. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.
You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
3. Community Guidelines
Loft is built on trust and respect. When using our platform, you agree to:

- ✓ Keep conversations appropriate for a public setting
- ✓ Report behaviour that makes you uncomfortable
- ✓ Meet in public places for pre-meets
Don't
- ✗ Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
- ✗ Share explicit, sexual, or violent content
- ✗ Discriminate based on protected characteristics
- ✗ Spam, scam, or solicit other users
- ✗ Share other users' personal information
- ✗ Create multiple fake accounts or impersonate others
- ✗ Use Loft for illegal activity
4. Prohibited Content & Moderation
We prohibit abusive and illegal content, including content restricted by applicable law (including the UK's Online Safety Act 2023). We use a mix of automated checks and human review. Depending on severity and context, we may remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, permanently ban users, and/or report matters to authorities when required.
- • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- • Terrorist or extremist content
- • Content promoting self-harm or suicide
- • Hate speech and violent threats
- • Fraud, scams, or financial manipulation
- • Drug dealing or promotion of illegal substances
5. Safety & Meetups
Loft facilitates introductions. We are not responsible for what happens at in-person meetings. For your safety:
- • Meet in public, busy locations
- • Tell someone where you are going
- • Leave if you feel unsafe
- • Avoid sharing sensitive personal details too quickly
- • Report concerning behaviour before or after meetups

6. Reporting, Suspension & Termination
We take reports seriously and may investigate messages, profiles, and event/group activity. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations, including:
- • Receiving repeated safety reports
- • Posting prohibited content
- • Harassment or abusive behaviour
- • Creating fake or misleading profiles
- • Being under 18 years old
We generally do not reveal reporter identity to reported users, except where legally required. Banned users may not create new accounts.
7. Intellectual Property
The Loft name, logo, and app design are our intellectual property. You retain ownership of content you upload (such as photos and messages), but you grant us a license to host, display, and process that content to operate the service.
8. Third-Party Services
Parts of Loft rely on third-party services (for example hosting, analytics, crash reporting, notifications, maps/places, and optional ticketing integrations). Their terms and availability may affect parts of the service.
9. Service Availability & Changes
We may update, modify, or discontinue features to improve safety, reliability, and product quality. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
10. Disclaimers & Liability
Loft is provided "as is" without warranties. We do not guarantee outcomes (including finding suitable matches) or that all users are genuine.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- • Actions of other users (online or offline)
- • Loss of data or service interruptions
- • Indirect or consequential damages
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, and this does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident outside England and Wales, any mandatory rights and protections under your local law still apply. Where local law permits, disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
