Uncontrolled Voltage 5: Exatari, Tony Miracle, Trotsky’s Watercooler, danielfuzztone, Kit Wray
Circuit Church presents Uncontrolled Voltage 5, a night of live, improvised electronic music at Wills Pub.The artists are required to make it up on the spot, and it is always exciting, precarious, and unique. Dont miss the 5th iteration of this live wire of a series. The lineup:Kit Wray a Circuit Church regular and one half of Berz3rkr opens the night with a solo improvised modular set. You will hear as the listener, and you will not hear as the listener. You will follow a story, you will not follow a story. You will have a choice, you will have no choice. The music will end, the music will never end. danielfuzztone creates ambient with a shoegaze heart. Noisy yet melodic, with spectral bursts of shortwave static and long-lost conversations all in service of the drone. Trotskys Watercooler is the Buddy Rich of noise. Tony Miracle is an electronic musician, producer, and sonic tinkerer best known as a founding member of Venus Hum. The bands name came from the constant internal hum he hears and yes, hes literally been living inside the music the whole time. Although his work drifts easily from hook-driven electro-pop to more experimental, its the latter we are likely to see during Uncontrolled Voltage 5. Exatari (Derek Morton) is the other half of Berz3rkr, a member of Salty Jazz Crabs, and instigator behind the Odd Harmonic series. Expect Wills to be blanketed in layers upon layers of processed field recordings, sculpted live with an arsenal of hi-tech sample-mangling doodads. Think Tim Hecker on a bad day.
