LUCÍA
LUCÍA is a 24-year-old vocalist from Veracruz, México whose distinctive artistic voice bridges jazz, Latin, and pop traditions. She began her musical journey at age two, singing and dancing with her parents' renowned son jarocho group, Son de Madera. In 2022, LUCÍA made history as the first artist from Mexico to win the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition. She has since collaborated with artists including Natalia Lafourcade, Aloe Blacc, La Santa Cecilia, Alex Mercado, and the National Jazz Orchestra of Mexico, and performed on celebrated stages such as Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, UCLA's Royce Hall, and major festivals across North America and Mexico. Her debut full-length album, produced by GRAMMY® winner Matt Pierson, showcases her interpretations of jazz standards, classic Spanish repertoire, and contemporary pop, featuring Edward Simon, David Sánchez, Larry Grenadier, and Antonio Sánchez.
