Kyle Roussel "Church of New Orleans" Kyle Roussel, born in Boutte, Louisiana, is a versatile pianist, composer, and producer whose music reflects the rich cultural heritage of New Orleans. Trained in classical, gospel, and jazz traditions, he studied at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and the University of New Orleans under legendary mentors like Alvin Batiste and Ellis Marsalis Jr. His sound draws from diverse influences including James Booker, Dr. John, Stevie Wonder, and Jon Batiste, resulting in a dynamic blend of jazz, funk, gospel, and classical styles. Roussel has performed and recorded with artists such as Jon Batiste, Dave Grohl, Paul McCartney, Chance the Rapper, Irma Thomas, Ivan Neville, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and many more.Tonight, we celebrate Roussels 2025 GRAMMY nominated album Church of New Orleans .
