Israel Vibrations & Roots Radics w/ special guest Rastan
Israel Vibration is one of reggaes most enduring and inspirational vocal groups, emerging from Kingston, Jamaica in the 1970s with a sound rooted in harmony, spirituality, and resilience. Founded by Lascelle Wiss Bulgin, Cecil Skelly Spence, and Albert Apple Gabriel Craig, the trios story is as powerful as their musiceach member was affected by polio as a child and first met at the Mona Rehabilitation Clinic in Kingston. United by their shared experiences and deep commitment to the Rastafarian faith, the group developed a signature harmony style and began singing on the streets of Kingston before breaking through with their debut single Why Worry in the mid-1970s. Their early success led to collaborations and touring opportunities alongside reggae icons like Bob Marley and Dennis Brown, helping establish them as a cornerstone of roots reggae. Their landmark debut album The Same Song (1978) brought international attention, followed by Unconquered People (1980), further cementing their reputation for spiritually driven lyrics, militant cultural themes, and rich vocal interplay. After a period of separation in the early 1980s, Israel Vibration reunited and entered a prolific era with RAS Records, releasing a deep catalog of albums and touring globally with backing band Roots Radics. Their musicmarked by messages of faith, perseverance, and social consciousnesshas resonated with audiences worldwide for decades.
