Michaels music, rooted in pop and electro-pop styles, explores both vulnerability and desire with equal conviction. Tracks like Close and Be My Baby (Tonight) balance expressive storytelling with pulsating grooves, reflecting his skill as both a songwriter and producer. His recent single Be My Baby (Tonight) has been celebrated for its sensual, synth-driven energy and its bold centering of queer experience in contemporary pop. Using his vivid lyricism, Nicholas conveys his struggles and identity throughout his music. He began writing songs in his room, with no intention of persuing the passion. After showing the music to his family, his older brother, Barry, felt these songs needed to come to life. The sibling duo independently released an EP titled, what theyll say in 2024, and continues to create and perform.
