JAZZ PUNK at the WOW HALL

The Community Center for the Performing Arts is thrilled to present Jazz Punk with Foxglove, Natsukashii Soul, Cosplay Jesus, and Shook Nerve on Sunday, May 24th!The worlds of Jazz and Punk collide at The WOW Hall on Sunday, May 24th at 7:30 pm with a mix of performances from four different artists.Foxglove is the newest fusion band to hit the Eugene scene, with a musical vocabulary unlike any other group in the area. Founded in 2025 by University of Oregon Jazz students Francis Anderson-Blankenship and Marco Pea, the quartet deftly covers music from the 1960s to the 2020s, in styles ranging from Dave Brubeck, to The Doors, to Bruno Mars. In April of 2026, they released their first original record the Love and Pride EP which showcases their creative aptitude at blending unexpected sounds, as well as their instrumental command with Latin Rock, Swing, Folk, and R&B.Natsukashii Soul formed in late 2021 in Eugene, the Oregon-based quintet has played over 100 shows across the state, mostly in Eugene and Portland. The bands repertoire includes vocal-based jazz tunes and originals led by Autumn Rose Hummel. Her distinctly soulful and sultry voice anchors the bands sound, shifting effortlessly between soft intimacy and bold dynamic presence. Experienced trumpet player Frank Visconti adds melodic color over complex chord structures played by Vincent Panero on keys and guitar. Highly syncopated rhythms from young professional drummer, Paige Iavelli and experienced bassist, Greg McKelvey weave the bands sound into a unique experience with deep roots in jazz. Set lists include originals, as well as tunes by Freddie Hubbard, Erykah Badu, Robert Glasper, Wayne Shorter, Oliver Nelson and even Blondie. Natsukashii Soul released their first original studio album in December 2025, available now through Bandcamp and on vinyl.Cosplay Jesus is an indie pop project from Eugene Oregon.
