An Evening with Claire Holley and Beth Ann Fennelly
Beth Ann Fennelly, poet laureate of Mississippi from 2016-2021, is the author of seven books, three of poetry and four of prose. Her newest book, The Irish Goodbye: Micro-Memoirs, was published by W.W. Norton on 2/24/26. She's won grants and awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, the United States Artists, a Pushcart, and a Fulbright to Brazil. Singer/songwriter Claire Holley grew up listening to her Dad's records and soaking up her grandmother's jazz piano playing as a little girl in the deep south. She began writing songs in college. Claire's songs are filled with "simple truths and timeless imagery that cannot be worn away with repeated listenings" says No Depression, and Huffington Post called her voice "achingly beautiful" She lives in Los Angeles and released a new album, Where I Lived, this fall. She is excited to be performing in her hometown with Beth Ann at Duling!
